Doof Mom

Doof Mom is the mother of three children:

• Mr. E – Thirteen going on sixty. He’s developing that oh-so-charming teenage attitude, you know, the one where he thinks he knows best? He’s smart — freakishly so. He reads voraciously — it’s hard to keep him in books that are age appropriate, but are written complexly enough to hold his interest. Trivia-wise, he does know everything. He’s naive, sheltered, childish. And he’s got the strongest sense of self of anyone I’ve ever met under forty. He is the one who will never succumb to peer pressure. He, like his mom, is a doof and doesn’t give a hoot what anyone else thinks.
• J – Eleven year old gamer. He lives for his video games. He is currently addicted to the XBox 360. He has a PSP, PS2, DS & a family Wii. He’s a passionate soul — his laughter is infectious and his anger is legendary. He can throw a fit like nobody else! He’s sweet, compassionate and cuddly. Although, don’t try to show affection to him in public — ewww, mom!
• G – Nine years old and spoiled rotten, as the only girl-child should be. Gabby is adorable — she has beautiful caramel skin, brown hair with gorgeous golden highlights, and deep, velvety brown eyes. She loves fashion, music, movies, and boys. She had her first boyfriend in Kindergarten, and just recently broke up with him (in second grade). At least she’s not fickle! She has broadened my musical horizons — who woulda thunk that I would have Miley Cyrus on my iPod at my age?!
